Once you know you have cancer, nothing else matters. Once you’ve had cancer, even at a young age, as I did, you never don’t have cancer. At first, I realized that, no matter how long my “recovery” lasts, I might still “fall into the fire”, which “may be soon or may be never”, but “when I’m gone I’m gone forever”. I did survive, and when I felt I was truly out of danger, I could only exclaim “how good it feels” (to be back home).
