Kai in his studio pensively gazing out the window.
I love my misery, it keeps me company
I like my misery, it's a big part of me.

I love my misery so much I don't want to let it go
It feels so familiar and comfy like an old bathrobe.

Helpful advice would be nice but the price of heeding it
Is too many times it serves to remind me I needed it.

I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't complain,
Don't know what I'd do if I had to refrain.
What if I couldn't be a pain
And make your life miserable too?

As far as I can see there's no better way to be than miserable.
From my head to my toes I'm just one mega-dose of self-pity.

I love my misery, it keeps me company
I stand by my misery and it—stands by me.

Take your misfortune and suffering
Keep your frustration and grief
Your angst and anxiety, sorrow and pain,
Keep them away from me.
I just want my misery!

I've got my misery, we have a deal.
No matter my state it will commiserate with how I feel.

Yes, I love my misery so much I don't wanna let it go,
I stand by my misery—
I stand by my misery and it—stands by me.
